Assam: HSLC and HS exams from March 15

Assam Education Meghalaya Minister, Ranoj Pegu on Wednesday stated that students who did not pass the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination will be required to take re-admission in Class 10 to sit for the exam again.

Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu has announced that the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) and Higher Secondary (HS) exam will be held from March 15, 2022, in the state.

The minister informed that the exams will be completed by the end of the first week in April for both the standards.

Prior to the exams, a vaccination drive will be initiated in all the districts of Assam to ensure that the COVID-19 virus is contained and reduce the threat of infection.

Pegu informed that 15 schools will be targeted each day to complete the vaccination drive.

With the COVID-19 outbreak still being the most important issue, people in the state were skeptical about the exams as last year the exams were delayed for a long time.

This time, however, the announcement by the education department has brought a sigh of relief for the parents and children.
