The Hojai unit of VHP along with its youth wing Bajrang Dal on Tuesday staged protest in front of the office of deputy commissioner in Hojai demanding CBI probe into the Murshidabad triple murder case.

Ahead of the demonstration at Sankardev Nagar, the Hojai unit of Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) jointly with Bajrang Dal took out a protest rally in the town.

It may be mentioned that a 35-year-old teacher, Bandhu Prakash Pal, his pregnant wife Beauty and their 8-year-old son Angan were found dead inside their house in Jiaganj area of West Bengal’s Murshidabad district on October 8 when Durga Puja festivities were on.

Talking to Northeast Now, Ashok Kejriwal, general secretary, Hojai District Vishva Hindu Parishad said, “VHP and its youth wing Bajrang Dal strongly condemn the brutal killings of Bandhu Prakash Pal, his wife and son. We seek justice for them.”

He also said, “Bandu Prakash Pal and his family members were murdered because he used to talk about Hindu rights and unity. He was also an RSS worker.”

“We demand justice as VHP and Bajrang Dal always stand to safeguard the rights of Hindus,” Kejriwal added.

The members of the Hojai VHP and Bajrang Dal submitted a memorandum to the President of India through the Hojai deputy commissioner Tanmoy Prtaim Borgohain.

Through the memorandum, the VHP unit and Bajrang Dal demanded for imposition of President’s Rule in West Bengal, CBI inquiry into the Murshidabad triple murder case.

Besides, they also sought implementation of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in West Bengal and passing of the Citizenship Amendment Bill for granting citizenship to Bangladeshi Hindu migrants, who came to India due to religious persecution.

They also demanded strict action against anti-national elements in West Bengal.
