The district transport office in Hojai has secured the first position in terms of revenue collection within the state.

The department has collected a total revenue of Rs 4.2 crores so far.

Hojai district transport officer, Tamsin Aftab said that the district transport department office has been able to meet its target by collecting 100 per cent revenue before the stipulated time.

“Even during the lockdown and amidst the Covid-19 pandemic our department collected 100 percent revenue and so far, we have been able to collect 222 per cent revenue,” said Tamsin Aftab.

The district transport office was established in Hojai in December 2019 and it began functioning last year.

“We have been able to fulfill our goal only because of the co-operation and support of our staff and residents of the district,” said Aftab.
