SOS Children’s Village of Hojai received the best child care institution in Hojai district, on the occasion of 70th Republic Day on Saturday.
Deputy Commissioner of Hojai District Tanmoy Pratim Borgohain presented the award to the Director of the Village Paresh Badaykar along with some of children’s of the village.
Talking to NorthEast Now, Paresh Badyakar, Village Director shared his happiness and conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to the Hojai district administration.
He said, “We were very delighted on receiving this award for providing quality services to the parentless children.”
He asserted that SOS children’s village of Hojai wants every child to grow up with love, respect and security and no child should grow up alone.
“We build families for children in care and protection and help them shape their future and share the development in the society, here
children who lost their parents get mother, brothers, sisters and family.”Badyakar added.
Notably, SOS Children Village of Hojai is catering services for children for the last 35 years.
At present the Village has 263 children under the care of 26 mothers and supporting mothers.
Children here are motivated to excel in various fields and contribute towards development of the Nation.
