The Hojai District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) took a unique initiative to create mass awareness on fundamental rights and duties among the students of the district on the occasion of 74th Independence Day on Saturday.
“Due to the COVID19 pandemic, it was not possible to arrange a formal meeting among the school students. So, the District Legal Services Authority, Hojai prepared a video with the help of Saanvee Doley, a Class IV student of Don Bosco High School, Hojai,” DLSA general secretary Pronita Morang told Northeast Now over phone.
“In the video, Saanvee speaks about the fundamental rights and duties enshrined in the Constitution of India for the purpose of creating awareness among the students,” said Morang.
“The District Legal Services Authority, Hojai disseminated the video with all the online functioning class groups of each and every school in Hojai district,” she added.
Morang informed that every school has shared the video with their students in their official groups “so that each and every student can be apprised of the significance of the fundamental rights in our nation”.
“We are extremely proud that a student of our school has beautifully explained about the importance of the fundamental rights and duties through the DLSA platform. Such activities will be very fruitful for the society as a whole. We appreciate the initiative taken by the DLSA, Hojai,” the principal of Don Bosco High School, Michael Bistis, told Northeast Now over phone.
“This is a part of holistic education our school,” he added.
Notably, the video is currently available for public viewing at Hojai District Legal Services Authority’s YouTube channel.
