GUWAHATI: Badruddin Ajmal, the chief of All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF), has ignited a controversy by criticizing Congress leader and Assam MP Gaurav Gogoi for participating in a Namaz ceremony during recent Eid festivities.
Ajmal suggested that Hindus would no longer support Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi, while Muslims would not be influenced by what he called Gogoiโs โtheatricsโ.

The AIUDF chiefโs remarks have stirred controversy, with him stating, โvery good, Gaurav Gogoi is a Muslim now and no Hindus will vote for himโ.
He accused Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi of engaging in โpolitical theatricsโ, claiming that his actions would not sway Muslim voters either.
Ajmal further commented that โhis acting skills are highly appreciable, but it is in vain to woo Muslim voters, as they canโt be fooled by such tacticsโ.
