An FIR has been filed against them by individuals reportedly affiliated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a right-wing Hindu nationalist organization.
The complaint alleges that the couple conducted prayers for children during the meeting, which were deemed to be coercive in nature.
Earlier this week, the couple appeared in the Kokrajhar District Court to face the charges, which have been labeled as “Child Conversion.”

Despite seeking interim bail, their request was denied by the court.
“We are yet to receive the official documents and are not sure of the organization or individual behind the FIR,” EastMojo quoted a senior church official as saying.
He said that the church is still gathering information regarding the charges.
