Assam health minister on Monday evening visited the Amingaon COVID-19 screening centre and inspected the testing and screening facilities there.
He was accompanied by minister of health Pijush Hazarika and other district administration officials.

The visit was aimed to oversee the centre’s preparedness in order to contain the spread of COVID-19.
He also advised the officials of the centre to remain vigilant and alert.

Earlier on the day, the health minister had visited the LGBI Airport to check the preparedness of the airport as domestic flight service resumed from Monday.
“All passengers will be screened for #COVID. People from Assam will be segregated and sent to respective districts,” Sarma had informed.
