Assam health minister Keshab Mahanta, on Wednesday, visited Kokrajhar in Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) and took stock of the progress of the construction of the medical college here.
Assam health minister Keshab Mahanta was accompanied by BTR executive member – Arup Dey, MLAs – Lawrence Islary and Jiron Basumatary.
Later speaking to the media, the Assam health minister expressed satisfaction with the progress of the work.
He said that the state government wants to ensure that the construction is completed on time so as classes can begin.

He also said that the Assam government is taking various steps for the upliftment and development of health sector in the state.
He said the sub-centres will be repaired, besides new hospitals will be built in each constituency.
