Assam: Hagrama inaugurates Bodoland Guest House at Kajalgaon in Chirang

Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) chief Hagrama Mohilary on Thursday inaugurated the Bodoland Guest House at Kajalgaon in Chirang district of Assam.

Inaugurating the guest house, the BTC chief said, “The guest house will not only meet the long felt needs of accommodation in the district headquarter but also serve as happening place for attracting tourists and such other visitors.”

Here, in the new Bodoland Guest House which is G+1 can have accommodation for night stay and meetings of government, he said.

He hoped that the new guest house will meet basic need of visitors to the district to a great extent.

Addressing the gathering the BTC chief dedicated this Bodoland Guest House to the people of Chirang district.

The G+1 Guest House built at a cost of Rs 1.5 crore by PWD, BTC, has as many as six rooms including one dining room and one conference hall. The new guest house has also two VIP suits for BTC chief and deputy chief.

Catering, room service and housekeeping services have all been arranged by the BTC authority.

During the interaction with media after the formal opening function, the chief of BTC informed that his administration is coming up with more such guest houses in district and sub-divisional level of BTC area.

He further informed about the foundation stone laid for construction of district centre at Udalguri, sub-divisional centres at Bijni and Gossaigaon.

BTC deputy chief Kampa Borgoyari, BTC principal secretary Biren Chandra Phukan, additional principal secretary Rabinson Mochahary, secretary Carol Narzary, joint secretary Subhalakhsmi Deka, BTC former Speaker Paniram Brahma and ex-EM James Basumatary were also attended at the function.
