The event is the first of its kind in the district and is being organised by the Dima Hasao Students’ Organisation Co-ordination Committee (DHSOCC) with the aim of promoting peace and brotherhood among all communities of the hill district.

Addressing a press meet at Haflong, members of the organising committee said that the fest will include a marathon, ethnic sports of each community in the district, and a cultural evening featuring traditional dances, attire stalls, food stalls, etc.
