Guwahati: In a bid to highlight the heroic deeds of Lachit Borphukan, the Assam government has partnered with Prasar Bharati to create a 52-episode documentary on the legendary Ahom general.
The agreement was signed on Monday in Guwahati in the presence of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

The documentary aims to showcase the rich historical and cultural heritage of Assam to a global audience.
Chief Minister Sarma expressed his gratitude to Prasar Bharati for undertaking this project and emphasized the importance of portraying Lachit Borphukan’s unparalleled valor and commitment to the nation.
Additionally, the Assam government has announced plans to produce a three-hour feature film on the life of Lachit Borphukan.
