Assam government has made arrangements to bring back the over 40 pilgrims and other tourists and visitors from Assam who are stranded at Odisha due to the possibility of being hit by a giant cyclonic storm.
Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday said that a special train was arranged to bring back Assam’s stranded pilgrims from Odisha.

First special train from Puri was scheduled at 12 Noon. Second special train to Howrah is scheduled to leave at 3 pm from Puri and a third special train to Howrah is scheduled at 6 pm.
The trains will stop at Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jajpur Keonjhar Road, Bhadrak, Baleswar and Kharagpur.
The group of pilgrims who had stayed at a guest house in Odisha, were at a loss after they were asked to vacate the place at 12 noon on Thursday.

The guest house officials said that they will cut off the electricity and water supply by Thursday as the state government there had issues a strong warning particularly in the coastal areas of Odisha due to cyclonic storm ‘Fani’.
