A day after the cancellation of class 10 (HSLC) and 12 (HS) state board examinations, the Assam government on Saturday formed two panels to suggest the procedure to be adopted to prepare the results of HSLC/AHM( Class 10) and Higher Secondary ( Class-12 ) exams for the academic year 2020-21.
The committee for the Class 10 board exam has been formed with the former vice-chancellor of Dibrugarh University Alok Buragohain as chairman.

The members of the committee include Chairman, SEBA, SN Das, deputy secretary, Secondary Education, Prasana Bora, IS Kamrup (Metro), Ranjit Dam, Principal, Kachokhana HSS Dhubri, Hakim Tarafdar, Principal, Jaraguri HSS Kokrajhar, CB Rai, Principal, Kamrup Academy, Guwahati, Mrinal Khaund, Head Master, Muhiram Hamrika High School, Golaghat.
The Secretary of SEBA has been given the responsibility of Convenor of the committee.
The Committee for class 12 examinations has been formed with Kumar Bhaskar Varma Sanskrit & Ancient Studies University vice-chancellor Dipak Kumar Sharma as Chairman.

The members of the committee are– chairman of AHSEC, Nibedita Laskar, joint secretary, Higher Education, SN Barman, Principal, B.Barooah College, S.Borkotoky, Principal, Nagaon College, Idris Ali, Principal, Dhubri Boys HSS, Ratan Pal, Narsingh HSS , Silchar and Dipika Choudhury, IS, Dibrugarh.
The Secretary of AHSEC has been chosen as the Convenor of the committee.
The Assam government Friday canceled class 10 and 12 board state board examinations on account of the second wave of the pandemic
The education department has asked the committees to submit their reports within 7 days.
“The respective committees will have to submit the procedure to be adopted by each school to evaluate each student, subject-wise for marks assigned against theory portion of each subject,” the department said in a notification.
“The procedures must be based on records available in the school against each student,” it added.
