The Assam government employees will get their complete salaries for the month of June on July 1.
This was announced by Assam finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on his Facebook and Twitter accounts on Tuesday.
As the COVID19 pandemic has hit the state’s economy along with other states of the country, now, the state government employees reportedly remain worried over the disbursement of their salaries.
After the announcement by the finance minister, the state government employees have expressed a sigh of relief.
“I am pleased to share that complete salary of Assam Government employees for June will be released on 1st July,” finance minister Sarma tweeted.
The finance minister, who is also the health minister of the state, mentioned about the challenges and financial constraints being faced by the Assam government in view of the COVID19 pandemic.
However, he said, the state government is trying its best to sort out the problems.
“Despite the apparent challenges and financial constraints, we’re trying our best to ensure least problems for all. We highly value your patience & understanding,” Sarma added.
