He informed the patients that the government provides facilities like baby items, food. To the queries from the Governor, the patients replied that they were not getting those facilities from the hospital.

As soon as the Governor heard about such allegation from the patients he immediately called the BTC Health & Welfare Department joint secretary Dinesh Boro and scolded him for not providing the facilities to the patients and also asked him why he does not look after the hospital being the joint secretary.

The Governor also noted that there are eight doctors but only seven patients are there in the big hospital.

He said that all kind of equipment were provided to the JSB hospital in 2009 but till date not a single machine like Ultrasound, Sonography, X-ray has been installed in the hospital. All the equipment have been lying without use.

“I will discuss about this matter in Guwahati with the high-level officials and this JSB hospital can function in a proper and better way for patients’ treatment,” the Governor said.
