The Assam Government on Friday has released a fresh set of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).

The new SOPs will come into effect from 5am of June 6 across the State and will remain applicable till June 16.

According to the new SOPs, curfew will be clamped daily at 1pm and will continue till 5 in the morning next day.

“There shall be total ban on movement of individuals from 1pm to 5am daily,” read the new order.

Moreover, shops have been allowed to stay open till 12pm, instead of 11am earlier.

“All shops and commercial establishments shall shut down at 12 noon on all days,” the order added.

However, no relaxation has been announced as far as inter-district movement is concerned.

“All inter-district transport services and movement of people to and from other districts shall remain suspended,” the order further read.
