Dibrugarh: Four people were killed and two others injured in a road accident on the Tinsukia-Dibrugarh bypass in Assam early Tuesday morning.
A Swift Dzire car (AS06AA2583) carrying six people, including a child, veered off the road and plunged into an under-construction culvert. The impact of the crash was severe, resulting in the immediate deaths of four passengers.

The accident took place near Panitola on the Dibrugarh-Tinsukia bypass. The car was traveling from Dibrugarh Banipur Railway Station to Bordubi in Tinsukia.
Reports indicate that the six occupants of the car were family members who were en route from Bihar to attend a wedding in Tinsukia.
Two other family members sustained serious injuries in the accident. They were promptly rushed to the Assam Medical College Hospital (AMCH) in Dibrugarh for urgent medical attention.

Local residents initiated a rescue operation to assist the injured and rushed them to the hospital.
The deceased individuals are believed to have been between 40 and 45 years old.
