Guwahati: At least two forest officials were injured after they were attacked by a rhinoceros inside the Borakota Forest Camp in Kaziranga National Park & Tiger Reserve (KNPTR), Assam.
The two forest officials, Tanuj Bora and Jayanta Hazarika were injured on Sunday after a rhino charged them near the camp.

Both officials are receiving treatment at a hospital in Jakhalabandha in Nagaon.
This incident follows another rhino attack last month in Golaghat district, where a man, identified as Lomboram Borah was seriously injured while herding his cattle.

The forest department is investigating on what provoked the rhino to attack the guards.
Measures are also being taken to prevent any such further incidents.
