The dispute between agents and Connect India E-Commerce Services Pvt Ltd has brought deliveries to a standstill.

The agents operating under Connect India E-Commerce Services Pvt Ltd have reportedly been declining to deliver the Flipkart parcels to the customers due to the unwarranted hold of their commissions by the employer.

The agents were working till November 9.

However, after November 9, no large parcels from Flipkart were delivered to the customers belonging to places like Makum, Digboi, Margherita, Ledu,Jagun, Kakopather, Dirok and so on.

Nine delivery agents operating under Connect India E-Commerce Services Pvt Ltd have suspended services, citing non-payment of commissions. The agents, who handle Flipkart deliveries in the Digboi area, claim they have not received their rightful dues.

“We have nothing to do with the company’s financial anomalies,” said one agent. “We demand immediate payment of our commissions, failing which we will continue to halt services.”

According to sources, the hub in charge allegedly failed to deposit sale proceeds, amounting to lakhs, to the company. As a result, Connect India E-Commerce Services Pvt Ltd withheld the agents’ commissions until the outstanding amount was recovered.

On Tuesday, Rajiv Dey, an area manager from Kolkata, attempted to resolve the issue but failed to reach an agreement with the hub in-charge and agents.

Although partial payments were made to two agents, Amar Jyoti Gogoi and Raghab Moran, the locked parcels remain undelivered.

The area manager assured the agents that all dues would be settled by November 16.

“We have no issue with Flipkart, but we will refrain from picking up parcels until our dues are secured from Connect India E-Commerce Services Pvt Ltd,” said one of the agents.

Meanwhile, customers awaiting delivery of their consignments have expressed frustration and disappointment with the third-party distributing agency employed by Flipkart to serve the greater Digboi area.
