Dhubri district in lower Assam has become the first district in the State to have DARPAN (Dashboard for Analytical Review of Projects Across Nation) portal.
The DM-Dashboard of Dhubri district was inaugurated by Ananta Lal Gyani, Deputy Commissioner, Dhubri in presence of officials of the district administration and National Informatics Centre (NIC), recently.
Speaking on this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Gyani said, “Dhubri has become the first district of Assam for launching the DM-Dashboard.”
The excellent platform of DM-Dashboard will facilitate the Deputy Commissioner to manage and enhance the performance of the schemes and programmes of Government of India and Government of Assam as well, implemented in the district in a more effective manner.
So far, more than 15 projects have been integrated and more and more projects would subsequently be integrated as per advice and requirement of the district administration.
The 15 schemes include Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin), MGNREGA, National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin, VAHAN, Land Records, Property Registration, Green Revolution BGREI, Krishi Vikash Yojana (RKVY), Krishi Kalyan Abhiyan (KKA),Kishan Credit Card (KCC), Information on schemes under Sarva Siksha Abhijan (SSA), Border Area Development Programme (BDAP), Janani Surakhsa Yojana (JSY) and Pradhan Mantri Jana Vikash Karyakom for Minority Welfare.
“The DM-Dashboard is a highly configurable tool where one can define own indicators, modify existing indicators and can be connected to any IT applications of the district to capture real time progress of the project. This would be a very helping tool for our monthly review,” Gyani added.
K Kalita, District Informatics Officer said that NIC has developed a comprehensive, generic and configurable dashboard, which is an online tool to monitor and analyse the implementation of high priority programmes and projects of the district. It facilitates presentation of real time data on key performance indicators of selected programme / projects to the district administration under the ‘Digital India Programme’.
Notably, the Assam CM dashboard was launched under Assam Darpan’s initiative on October 27 in 2017 and the entire Assam Darpan platform was developed by National Informatics Centre (NIC), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology as a part of the Digital India Programme.
