Guwahati: A ferry with at least 300 passengers was reportedly stranded on the Brahmaputra in Dhubri, Assam on Tuesday.
The passenger boat named MV Nilgiri carrying nearly 300 passengers, became stranded while travelling from Fakirganj to Dhubri.

Fortunately, no injuries or casualties have been reported so far.
The cause of the ferry’s grounding remains unknown.

However, rescue operations are underway with boats deployed to transport passengers back to shore safely.
