A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a woman teacher of a university in lower Assam’s Nalbari district.
Pomi Talukdar, who taught Sanskrit literature at Kumar Bhaskar Varma Sanskrit and Ancient Studies University (KBVSASU) in Nalbari, died on Friday due to burn injuries.

30-year-old Pompi had suffered burn injuries on the night of December 30 at her residence in Nalbari.
She was rushed to a hospital in Guwahati in critical condition, where she succumbed to her injuries.
Police officials said based on a complaint filed by Pomi’s family member police have arrested one person.
