The woman identified as Mauchumi Saikia Saharia was found hanging at her apartment early Sunday morning.

Meanwhile, Jalukbari police detained one Deepankar Das in connection with the death of the fashion designer.
It is learnt that Deepankar and Mauchumi were in a relationship.
Reportedly the duo had an altercation on Saturday night.
