Instead of throwing a party to celebrate her birthday, an eight-year-old girl in Assam, has the expenses to the CM Relief Fund.

Jahnavi Kiran Kalita, a student of class II, from Bajali district in Assam donated her bithday celbration expenses to the CM Relief Fund on Tuesday.

Jahnavi Kiran Kalita, a student of Anundoram Barooah Academy in Pathsala, celebrated her eighth birthday, by planting a neem sapling outside the Pathsala Civil Hospital gate.

Unlike yesteryears, Jahnavi along with her elder sister Drisha Kiran Kalita, a student of class X came up with the idea of donating the birthday celebration expenses to the CM Relief Fund.

This noble gesture of Jahnavi is being lauded by all sections of the society.

This noble gesture from Jahnavi and her parents has prompted other guardians also to celebrate the birthday of their wards is the same way.

Jahnavi is the younger daughter of Nava Kanta Kalita and Seema Kalita, residents of Barbhaluki village in Bajali district.

“Although the amount is little, it may be used to procure COVID-19 vaccine and save life of someone,” said Jahnavi.
