Following the rituals of immersion of Durga idols, devotees took the blessings of Goddess Durga while performing the rituals of Durga Dashami at various puja pandals of Pandu in Guwahati along with other parts.
Big queues of devotees were witnessed in almost all the puja pandals amidst the COVID19 pandemic.

Apart from the idols of large-scale puja pandals like Restcamp Kalibari, Accounts Colony and American Colony, most of the idols will be immersed on Friday at the selected area on the bank of the Brahmaputra.
The immersion is monitored by the dedicated idol immersion committee of Pandu Ghat under the observation of the Kamrup Metro district administration.

Earlier, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma made his maiden visit as the Assam chief minister to Restcamp Kalibari Durga Puja, one of the prestigious pujas of Pandu, on Thursday evening.
On Friday, following the rituals of Durga Dashami, women in traditional Saree attire offered their prayers on the final day of the festival.
They also participated in the traditional ‘Sindur Khela’ rituals for the well-being of their families.
It is one of the prime rituals among the ‘mothers’ to mark the final occasion of the Durga Puja festival.
