Assam Don Bosco University will host their seventh convocation on Saturday at the Tapesia campus of the University.
Prof. Jagdish Mukhi, Governor of Assam, will preside over the function as the visitor to the University while Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, and SS Ahluwalia, Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology will be the Guests of Honour at the event.
The Chancellor, Fr. Januarius Sangma, and the Vice Chancellor, Fr. Stephen Mavely, will be the other speakers at the function.
A host of dignitaries from the region will also be gracing the occasion.

766 students from across the globe will graduate at the Convocation – B Tech (177), BCA (27), M.Tech (31), MSW (56), MCA (18), MBA (35), Psychology( 20), Mass Communication (7), Education (9), Physics (19), Biochemistry (2), Biotechnology (5)and Microbiology (19). 328 graduates of the Distance Education Wing of the University will also graduate on the occasion. Doctoral degrees will be conferred on 13 scholars.
Gold Medals under various categories will be awarded to 17 graduates with the highest Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) in each program.
The Chancellor’s and the Vice Chancellor’s medals, for overall outstanding performance and notable contribution to campus life, will be awarded to two students at the Convocation.
Every graduate at the convocation will be honoured with a specially prepared scarf made exclusively for this event.
