Dr Ahmed Ali, a physician posted at the Tezpur Medical College and Hospital (TMCH) alleged that he was assaulted by the son of a patient at a clinic at Nimtoli under Kharupetia police station in Darrang district.
Ali alleged that a local Youth Congress worker Rahul Amin assaulted him because his mother was made to wait for a long time.
Based on the complaint lodged by Ali with Kharupetia police station, a case has been registered.
