After decline for a brief period, Covid19 positive cases are again on the rise in the Dibrugarh district.
In order to create awareness about Covid-appropriate behaviour among the public, the district administration and police took out a route march in Dibrugarh on Friday.
Dibrugarh additional superintendent of police (ASP) Bitul Chetia and the circle officer led the route march from Thakurthan to Jokai area.
The CRPF personnel also joined the march.
In the second wave of the pandemic, the novel Coronavirus has spread from the urban areas to the rural pockets of the Dibrugarh district.
While sharing some pictures of the march, the Dibrugarh Police on its Twitter handle said: “Route March from Thakurthan to Sessa by Addl SP(HQ), Circle Officer and team of @assampolice
and CRPF. The message is simple. #StayHomeStaySafe.”
“If venturing out for emergency, wear mask and follow social distancing,” it added.
