Guwahati: The Department of School Education, Assam has made it mandatory to track the daily attendance of teachers and students via the Shiksha Setu app.

A notification issued on March 20th, 2024, by Om Prakash, Mission Director of Samagra Shiksha in Assam, mandated the use of the Shiksha Setu app starting from April 1, 2024.

This initiative aims to improve accountability and streamline attendance management within the state’s educational system.

The official communication instructed key stakeholders, including education officials at district and sub-district levels, to familiarise themselves with the Shiksha Setu app.

To ensure a smooth transition, they are urged to report any technical difficulties encountered during the pilot phase by March 23, 2024.
