Assam has registered 69 new Covid19 positive cases, taking the overall tally to 4,118.
Confirming the news, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in his latest tweet on the state’s Covid19 status informed that the new cases have been reported from Assam’s 8 districts.

Health minister Sarma said Nagaon has reported a total of 16 Covid19 positive cases, while Dhubri has reported 15 new cases while Kamrup has reported 12 cases.
The minister informed that 10 positive cases have been detected in Jorhat district while 6 persons have tested positive for the virus in Dhemaji district.
While 4 Covid19 positive cases have been reported from Udalguri, 3 cases have been detected in Kamrup (R) district and 3 persons have tested positive in Barpeta district.

“Alert ~ 69 new #COVID19+ cases reported. 16 Nagaon, 15 Dhubri, 12 Kamrup, 10 Jorhat, 6 Dhemaji, 4 Udalguri, 3 Kamrup (R), 3 Barpeta,” health minister Sarma said.
With the new cases, the number of active Covid19 cases in Assam stands at 2,147.
Earlier, a total of 1,960 Covid19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals in Assam after their recovery from the disease.
On Sunday, a total of 155 patients were discharged from various district, model and medical college hospitals across Assam.
The disease has claimed the lives of 8 persons in Assam while 3 cases migrated from the state.
“Total cases 4118. Recovered 1960. Active cases 2147. Deaths 08,” Sarma added.
