Assam has registered 89 more Covid19 positive cases, taking the state’s overall tally to 4,694.
Confirming the news, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in his latest tweet on Wednesday said the new positive cases have been reported from 11 districts of the state.
The health minister informed that Baksa has reported 30 Covid19 positive cases while Barpeta has reported 20 cases, Kamrup Metro has reported 15 cases and Kokrajhar district has reported 9 cases.
Six new positive cases have been detected in Jorhat, 2 cases have been reported from Golaghat and 2 cases have been reported from Nagaon.
While Sonitpur has reported 2 cases, one each positive case has been reported from Dhemaji, Bongaigaon and Biswanath districts.
“Alert ~ 89 #COVID19+ cases. 30 Baksa, 20 Barpeta, 15 Kamrup(M), 9 Kokrajhar, 6 Jorhat, 2 Golaghat, 2 Nagaon, 2 Sonitpur, 1 Dhemaji, 1 Bongaigaon, 1 Biswanath,” health minister Sarma said in the tweet.
With the new cases, the total number of active Covid19 cases in Assam stands at 2,041.
Earlier, a total of 2,642 Covid19 patients have been discharged from various model, civil, district and medical college hospitals after their recovery.
The deadly disease has so far claimed the lives of 8 patients while 3 cases have migrated.
“Total cases 4694. Recovered 2642. Active cases 2041. Deaths 08,” Sarma added.
On Wednesday, Assam has registered a total of 184 Covid19 positive cases.
