A total of 274 more patients, who were earlier infected by COVID19, have been discharged from various civil, district and model hospitals across Assam on Sunday.
With the newly-discharged patients, the total number of discharged cases in Assam has risen to 5,088.

Sharing the good news, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said in a tweet on Sunday that 2.5 times more people have returned to their homes from the hospitals than the number of patients who are being treated.
The health minister said Assam has achieved 71 per cent recovery rate.
“Discharge Alert 274 today. There are 2.5 times more people who’re back home than in hospitals now. With 5000+ recovered at a rate of 71% we’ve done very well,” health minister Sarma tweeted.

Assam has so far registered 7,165 COVID19 positive cases and the state currently has 2,063 active cases.
The deadly disease claimed the life of one more person in Assam on Sunday, taking the death toll to 11.
