On the day when Assam’s COVID19 tally stands at 34,947, a total of 1,216 patients, who were earlier infected by COVID19, have been discharged from various hospitals across the state on Tuesday.
Sharing the news, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in his latest tweet on the state’s COVID19 status on Tuesday said: “Discharge Alert. 1,216 patients have been discharged today.”
“Yet another day, we have more than 1000 recovered patients. We shall overcome,” health minister Sarma said.
With the release of 1,216 patients, the total number of discharged patients in Assam now stands at 26,618 while 3 cases migrated from the state.
Assam currently has 8,238 active patients, who have been undergoing treatment in various hospitals across the state.
The recovery rate of Assam is 76.2%, the health minister said.
The deadly disease has so far claimed the lives of 88 people.
On Tuesday, Assam registered 1,371 new COVID19 positive cases, taking the state overall tally to 34,947.
Confirming the news, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet on Tuesday night said a total of 22,876 tests were conducted in Assam in the last 24 hours, out of which 1,371 were found positive for the virus.
