Assam has registered 155 more COVID19 positive cases, taking the state’s overall tally to 2,681.
Confirming the news at Sunday midnight, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Sunday, with the new cases, the number of active COVID19 cases now stands at 2,038.
The health minister informed that on Sunday, Assam has recorded a single-day spike of 208 COVID19 positive cases.
So far a total of 636 COVID19 patients have been discharged from various hospitals across Assam after their recovery.
The deadly disease has claimed the lives of 4 persons in Assam while 3 persons migrated from the state.

On Sunday India’s COVID19 positive cases crossed 2.50 lakh mark with the highest ever single-day spike of 9,971 new cases in the last 24 hours.
According to the details shared by the Union Health Ministry, Maharashtra registered 3,007 new cases in the last 24 hours and remains the worst state in India with 82,968 cases.
