Assam registered one more COVID-19 related death on Tuesday.
With this, the total number of COVID-19 related deaths went up to 12.
One Dilip Talukdar, aged around 50 years, who passed away on June 22 last has tested positive of COVID-19 during his post mortem.
The result came out on Tuesday.
This was informed by state health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma through his official Twitter handle.
Sarma tweeted:
‘I am sad to inform that 50-yr-old Mr Dilip Talukdar of Fatasil Ambari, Guwahati was brought dead to GMCH on June 22. Subsequently, he was tested positive for #COVID19. With this our death toll goes up to12.
My heartfelt condolences to the Talukdar family. Prayers.’
The health minister also expressed his condolences to the bereaved family.
