Assam Covid-19 situation turns grave, Dibrugarh University postpones exams

The Dibrugarh University has postponed all post-graduate examinations scheduled to take place on April 19 and 20.

A notification signed by the controller of examination I/C Dibrugarh University A. Baruah announced the postponement of all PG examinations (both CBCS and Non-CBCS) scheduled on these two days.

“All departments, centre of studies and affiliated colleges/ institutions under Dibrugarh University have postponed the PG exams. Fresh dates of the postponed examinations will be notified in due course of time,” the notification stated.

Due to the recent surge of Covid-19 in Assam, the education department and the Dibrugarh University have taken this decision.

The Covid-19 scenario is deteriorating with every passing day with 876 people testing positive were detected in Assam.

The disease has claimed two lives in the past 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 1,129.
