The COVID-19 fatalities in Assam have increased to 189 after seven people more succumbed to the disease on Sunday.
Of the fresh fatalities, two were reported from Dibrugarh while one each was registered in Sivasagar, Cachar, Baksa, Darrang and Kokrajhar, health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said.

With the detection of 1,317 new cases, the number of the state’s corona virus caseload has gone up to 76,875.
Assam now has 21,468 active cases while 55,215 patients have recovered from the disease and three others have migrated out of the state.
On Sunday, a total of 1,929 patients were discharged from different Covid-care centres of the state.
