Assam Covid-19 cases cross 4 lakh mark, state reports 77 new deaths

The COVID-19 caseload in Assam on Saturday crossed 4 lakh marks after 5,613 people tested positive for the virus.

While 77 new deaths pushed the death toll to 3,245, said an official of National Health Mission (NHM) Assam.

Kamrup (Metro) reported the maximum number of 580 cases on Saturday.

Assam’s daily positivity rate stands at 4.82 per cent while 1, 16, 562 samples were tested for COVID-19 on Thursday.

At present, the recovery rate is 85.25 per cent.

As many as 40, 26, 146 doses of the ant-coronavirus vaccine were administered in the state till Friday.

While 32, 02,886 have received the first dose of the jab, 8, 23,260 have received both doses.
