Online admissions to the 1st Semester BSc Honours programmes (except Biotechnology) in Cotton University for 2020-21, will begin on Tuesday (September 8, 2020).
As advised by the Assam government, the total number of seats has been increased by 25% and the advantage can be availed by the students, who cleared the higher secondary final examination from Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC), in the form of marks standardization.

All admissions shall be provisional.
On Tuesday, students having standardized marks 276 and above will be allowed to take part in the admission process, said a press release.
Candidates will be allowed to log in to the Admission Portal only during the specified slots, reserved
against their respective standardised marks.

The time slots during the day against different standardised marks of candidates for counselling and admission have already been notified on the Cotton University website (www.cottonuniversity.ac.in).
If a candidate ends up choosing an Honours subject without meeting the specific minimum requirement for that subject published earlier vide notification CU/Acad/UGAdmissions/2020/180/503c on August 23, 2020, then his/her admission will be cancelled, the release said.
The candidates have been advised to refer to the notification available on the university website before proceeding for online admission.
