Gogoi’s statement follows the union education minister’s declaration that no paper leak occurred in the NEET-UG exam and the National Testing Agency (NTA) had been cleared of any wrongdoing.

“The government is discriminating against the students of the nation. The education minister said no paper leak has happened and has given a clean chit to the NTA,” Assam Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi told ANI.

He said: “We (opposition) will continue our struggle in the interest of students.”

Earlier, Leader of Opposition (LoP) and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi vowed that the opposition would keep pressuring the government on the NEET issue.

The NEET-UG 2024 exam, held on May 05, had its results announced on June 04, earlier than the scheduled date of June 14.

Following the release of the results, protests erupted over alleged irregularities and paper leaks, especially after it was revealed that 67 students had achieved a perfect score of 720.

The NEET-UG examination, conducted by the NTA, is crucial for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and other related courses in government and private institutions across the country.
