DIBRUGARH: Former Congress Union minister and ACMS president Paban Singh Ghatowar said Sarbananda Sonowal is a strong leader and after the election, he will get a better ministry in the centre.
While attending, the 133rd Annual General Meeting of the Assam Branch Indian Tea Association(ABITA) on Saturday Ghatowar praised Sarbananda Sonowal and said that Sonowal will get an even better ministry in the cabinet after the formation of the government.

Paban Singh Ghatowar claimed that he “knows” that Sarbananda Sonowal will easily swipe the Dibrugarh Lok Sabha seat and get even a better ministry in the cabinet.

During a programme at the district planters club in Dibrugarh Ghatowar shared the dias with Sarbananda Sonowal and praised him for his work and said he is one of the seniormost cabinet ministers in the government and he would easily share the tea industry discussion with Prime Minister.

Sarbananda Sonowal defeated Paban Singh Ghatowar for the first time from the Dibrugarh Lok Sabha seat in 2004. He then contested from the AGP ticket.
Dibrugarh will witness a triangular contest between Aam Adami Party candidate Manoj Dhanowar and Assam Jatiya Parisha(AJP) candidate Lurinjyoti Gogoi.
