Guwahati: Former Assam Minister and senior Congress leader Akon Bora has tendered his resignation from two crucial positions within the party.
He has stepped down from the Congress election committee and the Political Affairs Committee (PAC), citing growing discomfort after his son, Manas Bora, defected to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Akon Bora, a senior Congress leader and founding member of the PAC, submitted his resignation letter to All India Congress Committee (AICC) President Mallikarjun Kharge.
