Sonowal also underlined the state government’s steps such as the construction of six new bridges over the Brahmaputra, setting up of national institutes like IARI at Gogamukh and AIIMS at Changsari and establishing NID at Jorhat since Prime Minister Narendra Modi assumed power.

The chief minister expressed confidence that the setting up of Chabua Sports Association Stadium and Chabua indoor stadium would greatly contribute to the rapid development of sports in the state and the entire region and establish Assam as the sports capital of the country.
