Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal performed Bhumi pujan on Wednesday to mark the inauguration of the construction of NRL’s LPG bottling & storage facilities at Dabidubi in Golaghat district.
With a bottling capacity of 12,500 LPG cylinders per day and storage capacity of 24,000 MT, it is expected that the facility will be able to fulfil the LPG demands of the region.

The plant, targeted to be completed in three years, is likely to give direct and indirect employment to several hundred youths of the state.
Chief minister Sonowal, while taking a look at the project, lauded the Numaligarh Refinery Ltd (NRL) functionaries for taking initiatives in setting up the project.
He also asked them to complete the project within the stipulated time frame so that people in general can reap the benefits of the expansion plan of the NRL which was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led central government in 2019.

Assam industries and commerce minister Chandra Mohan Patowary, agriculture minister Atul Bora, Khumtai MLA Mrinal Saikia, ATCL chairman Amiya Kumar Bora, NRL managing director SK Baruah and other senior functionaries were present on the occasion.
