The difference of opinion between two office-bearers of the NGO—Monika Sarma and Utpal Harshabardhan– over the functioning of the old age home–has triggered a massive row during the one week.

“I came here and met the elderly. The people of Assam are anxious and the CM is also worried. He had asked me to visit Mother Old Age Home and try to understand the problems. There are some issues and I believe these can be resolved. It is our responsibility to look after these elderly people staying at the old age home,” Neog told reporters.
