Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday attended the first day of the two-day conference with the deputy commissioners of all districts of Assam at Diphu in Karbi Anglong district.
Chief minister Sarma discussed various issues regarding the implementation of projects and preparing the development roadmap for the state.
Interacting with media persons, he said there will be conferences with DCs and SPs separately and jointly every six months which will be held outside Guwahati.
In these two days in Diphu, lots of brainstormings and deliberations will be done for achieving speedy
growth of the state, chief minister Sarma informed.
The chief minister said the present state government had decided to keep close contact with district administrations and as part of that initiative, SP conference was held in the Kaziranga National Park earlier and now the DC conference is being held in Diphu.
Several ministers, MLAs and key senior officials have also come to Diphu for taking part in the conference.
Earlier on Sunday, the chief minister inaugurated a conference hall at Arboretum-cum-Craft Centre at Matipung, Diphu.
He also inaugurated the new office building of additional director of industries & commerce at Diphu.
