Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal approved two per cent hike in the Dearness Allowance (DA) for the State Government employees.
This would be effective from July 1, 2018.
The State Government will incur additional 50 crore per month for this increase in DA.
This will take the DA of State Government employees from existing 7 per cent to 9 per cent.
last year, the Assam Government had increased the Dearness Allowance of its employees at the rate of one per cent with effect from July 1.
