A 10-year-old child escaped a kidnapping bid at Pathsala in Assam‘s Bajali district.

The kidnapping bid took place on Wednesday at Ward No 3 in Pathsala amid Durga Puja festivities.

According to sources, two kidnappers came to the house of the child at Ward No 3 in Pathsala wearing masks.

They entered the campus taking advantage of the absence of other people in the house.

Informing about the whole incident before reporters, the child said the kidnappers first took him to the Pathsala railway station on a motorcycle.

They wrapped his eyes with a black cloth.

The child said the kidnappers provided him Rs 50 at the railway station and asked him to board a train as it arrives.

He also said the kidnappers displayed a pistol before him.

The child further said the kidnappers were observing him from a distance in the station.

In the meantime, the family members of the child started searching for him and rushed to the station and found him there.
The father of the child is a trader.
The incident has raised the question of the security and safety of children in Pathsala.
