Cachar Police in an operation seized 1 lakh WY tablets and arrested two drug peddlers for possessing the addictive stimulant drugs.
According to Cachar Police, based on information received from a specific source, a police team, led by the officer-in-charge of Jirighat police station carried out an operation.

During the operation, the police team intercepted a vehicle at Jirighat.
During a thorough search in the vehicle, the police personnel recovered a huge consignment of addictive drugs.
The consignment had one lakh WY tablets.

The WY tablets were recovered from the possession of two persons, who were in the vehicle.
The police arrested the two drug peddlers persons and seized the WY tablets.
A case has been registered at Jirighat police station under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.
WY is commonly known as ‘World is yours’. WY is a methamphetamine tablet.
These tablets contain methamphetamine, which is a very addictive stimulant drug along with caffeine.
“Based on source information OC Jirighat PS intercepted a vehicle at Jirighat. On search recovered one lakh WY Tablet from the possession of two persons. A case has been registered under NDPS act,” Cachar Police tweeted.
